Dragonets of Destiny: Books 1-5
CLAY the MudWing
MudWing
Clay is a MudWing — that’s the big, burly, hippo-eating tribe who live in the swamps and marshes. He’s not the smartest dragon under the mountain. He’s not the most ferocious. He is the biggest, so everyone keeps telling him he’s got to be tough and he’s got to be scary.
But what Clay lacks in skills he makes up in loyalty. He’s sweet and protective of his friends. He’s the dragonet who’ll share his extra cow at dinnertime, or risk drowning in order to save you when the Talons of Peace decide you’re unessential.
So when his friends decide it’s time to escape their underground home, it’s up to Clay to keep them together and keep them safe. He hopes there’s a better home waiting for him back in the swamps of the MudWings, if only he can get there.
But he also knows that the dragons of Pyrrhia are counting on them to stop the war. It’s their fate. And who else is going to do it?

TSUNAMI the SeaWing
Tsunami is having none of this destiny business. No old prophecy is going to tell HER what to do. She is fierce, bossy, confident, a natural leader…a natural queen, if you think about it. The Talons of Peace are going to be sorry for keeping her trapped underground all those years, treating her like some kind of helpless baby lizard who couldn’t make her own decisions.
Now all she has to do is find her way home to the Kingdom of the Sea, convince her friends that it’s the safest place to wait out the war, reunite with her (no doubt) adoring family, claim her rightful place as queen of the SeaWings, and figure out how to save the world (her own way, thank you).
What could possibly go wrong?

GLORY the RainWing
Glory is not supposed to be part of the famous dragonet prophecy. Her egg was brought in as a substitute when the SkyWing egg was lost, but no one expects anything of her. After all, she’s a RainWing, and everyone knows that they’re the laziest, most useless dragons in Pyrrhia. Or at least, that’s what she’s been told her whole life.
Not that she cares. So what if she’s not in some old prophecy? So what if the Talons of Peace have messed up her whole life for no reason? Maybe she’ll go ahead and make the prophecy come true anyway, just to blow their minds. Or maybe she’ll go back to her tribe and practice her napping techniques instead.
Since she’s not in the prophecy anyway, it’s not like anything she does really matters, right?
Now Glory’s on her way home at last . . . but she has no idea what to expect when she gets to the rainforest. Are the stories in the scrolls true? Are RainWings really as good-for-nothing as everyone says? Or might they have some surprises hidden away in their hidden kingdom in the treetops?
But as she soon discovers, something deadly is stalking the peaceful tribe. . . something that is making RainWings disappear . . . and Glory and her friends may be the only ones who can stop it.

STARFLIGHT the NightWing
The WINGS OF FIRE saga continues with a visit to the mysterious land of the NightWings, where Starflight must face a terrible choice---his home, or his friends?
Like all the dragonets of destiny, Starflight has always wanted to see his home -- but he's also been afraid of his fellow NightWings. Starflight doesn't have mindreading powers like his tribe, and he doesn't understand why they're so secretive. No one has ever even seen the NightWing queen.
But now Starflight is the dragonets' only hope -- he must find a way to negotiate with his fellow NightWings to free the RainWing dragons they've captured, and perhaps end the war in Pyrrhia altogether. Starflight is the smartest of the dragonets... but is he brave enough to speak up? Or will he falter in his mission, and accidentally betray them all?

SUNNY the SandWing
The WINGS OF FIRE series is at an end—now the dragonets must pick the next queen of Pyrrhia, end the terrible war, and reconcile the seven tribes...and make it out alive.
Sunny, the smallest of the dragonets, is also the most peculiar of all five; but she doesn't mind that. Even though she's not a normal SandWing—having golden-tawny scales and a flat tail—she still fits the description in the prophecy. And that's all that matters, right?
Read on in the final book of the WINGS OF FIRE!
